On Day 2, we highlighted all of our Pressure Safe Cam and Groove fittings. PT's Pressure Safe Cam and Groove fittings and adapters come specialized with a primary locking safety feature that protects the operator from personal injury in the event the quick release cam arms are opened under pressure. • Multiple sizes are available
  • Material options are available in Aluminum, Brass or 316 Stainless Steel and more

Day 4

Although they are small, they may have the biggest impact on the safety of your hose assemblies. That’s right. Day 4’s post was ALL about Cam Arm Sets and Sta-Lok®.

PT offers a variety of Cam Arm sets on cam and groove fittings. Each cam arm is designed for specific industry usage to create a smooth camming action that features strength, endurance and security. For instance, STA-LOK® couplers and STA-LOK II® locking cam arms are the solution to all industry's hose fittings for keeping a secure and safe seal. STA-LOK® is a positive locking feature that comes with Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel hitch pin clips. STA-LOK® couplers and STA-LOK II® cam arms meet the Coast Guard ASTM 1122-87 requirement.

Proper use of STA-LOK® and STA-LOK II® mechanisms can help prevent spills by keeping the cam arms from opening under adverse conditions, such as high vibrations, pulsing, wear and corrosive hazardous materials. PT STA-LOK II® Paddle Handles (SLSPX, SLBPX) are made for workers using gloves in cold weather or hot weather applications.

FEATURES OF STA-LOK® AND STA-LOK II®:

  • The pins, rings and the lock plate are 300 series Stainless Steel
  • Available for coupling sizes: 1" through 4"
